2009 Patriot / Compas UCI - iPod Integrated Interface

The 2009 Patriot 2009 Compass (among others) is to come with a Universal Consumer Interface (UCI) to control your iPod through the touch screen on the uconnect gps. I think this will allow you to have your iPod in the glove box and control it from the touch screen. I wanted to hear if anyone has actually received a part (cord) and how does it work (is it worth it, does it work seamlessly)?

Are you talking about the iPod integration kit? I installed it into my Jeep, but I only have the cheap CD player/radio. No touch screen.

I plug in my iPod Nano into the glove box and it plays perfectly well. I use my steering wheel controls to move through songs too.
