2008 Patriot Wheels

OK, blame this question on being a Jeep Newbie !!

I just got an '08 Jeep Patriot with 205/70R16 - and the "not so pretty" cheap stock wheels (maybe called plates? ). It's a company car, so what do you expect for free, right?

Anyway, I'd like to purchase some nicer 16" Jeep wheels, but am having trouble finding info on offsets and all that stuff.

Does anyone know EXACTLY the specs I need to look for in a replacement wheel, or a forum to guide me to information that says what's on the '08's? I'm in Fort Worth, Texas and am just looking for the polished and or chromed 5star (not sure what they're called ) standard Jeep wheel. Any "special" rocks I should look under to find these at a good price (cheap!)

Thanks for the help!!

Kevin

Are you looking to keep those tires and stay with 16" wheels or looking for a tire and wheel package and go with 16's or 17's?

Welcome! Everybody's a newbie at some time.

Great Question!

I do want to keep the 205/70R16 tires. I just want to look for the better wheels. Where it's a company car I want to keep my personal $$$ to a minimum! But the wheels that came on it, have got to go!

Which raises another question: Can you put any 17" wheels on with those tires? OR does it need to stay 16" tire w/ 16" wheel? I'm new at this and simply don't know. Looking at my forum friends to help me out so I don't buy the wrong wheels!

Thanks for the help!

You'll have to stay with 16" wheels for 16" tires.

Try using this link: http://www.tirerack.com/snow/WinterW...oy#results_top. It may not work for you since it's on my log in. Let me know and I'll try and find a work around.

If you go into http://www.tirerack.com/ and click on the Winter Tire and Wheel packages you can find the 16" - 18" wheels. You may have to create a log in and then select a 16" package and skip to the wheel selections. This is just a start. I'm sure others will respond with several other solutions.

There drop down menu won't let you select a 2008 Patriot yet. Just use the menu for 2007 or use the Compass. Same specs.

Chrome Overlays for 16" wheels

I saw online some chrome overlays for the Patriot 16" wheels. I'm sorry, but I can't recall the company who sold them. They looked like they just clipped on. I don't know how they stand up though. I think that would be the least expensive option.
