2008 Patriot help. 108k what do I need done?

My wifey has a 2008 Jeep Patriot that's loaded with everything but leather, it's a 5 speed manual w the bigger engine option. What does she need to make sure is done, it runs and drives fine. The dealer said she has a timing chain not a belt but I'm concerned. What do I need to make sure is done for important maintenance?

Did u change transmission fluid? I did with mine. You should change it at least every 100K. There are links to do this change. Search this site. Being the manual, it's not hard it can be done yourself. It's as easy changing engine oil. However you may need a pump or hose to get fluid back into transmission. It in a tight spot where you just can't simply pour it from the bottle. Tranny uses ATF+4 fluid. The MOPAR factory fluid is actually really good stuff and synthetic. Being a manual there is no transmission filter no dipstick either. You fill in the the upper hole on side of transmission case until it runs out. Lower plug is obviuosly the drain.
Need about 3.5 qts.

Also with 108K I assumed you have changed the spark plugs before?

How about the radiator and coolant change? Go to dealer for this. Don't mess with having to get rid of the coolant yourself. Should be no more than $100. It's got the red coolant good for 150k mi. I think thats a long time to go without a change. I changed mine at 100k.

Dealer is right, there is no timing belt, oil bathed timing chain instead. Don't worry about it. It will outlast the engine and vehicle.

FYI. I'm the guy who just hit over 200K on my 2007 Compass FWD 5-speed.
