So I have a 2008 Jeep Compass Sport. FWD. CVT. 2.4L with an odd noise
And here are my problems. Hopefully someone can help me on finding a way to fix them.
I have 83,000 miles on the vehicle. I made a trip to Atlanta from Knoxville and back in one day and when I was driving home, the Jeep started whining and making grinding noises. The Whining is coming from the belt system. The powers steering pump, the idle pulley and the tensioner assembly has been replaced. And still a whining sound. The grinding noise was the tensioner and the power steering pump.
Next is the grinding sound. I have a grinding transmission and a leak on the connector of my transmission line. I had fluid added but still the transmission is grinding. And every time I try to get the dealer to look at it, the CVT Transmission specialist is backed up with work and keeps asking me to reschedule and I have to have it fixed before August 1. So how can I stop the leaking at the main connector? And should I risk adding more fluid the transmission? I don't have a dip stick for the transmission but I know it is still low.
