2007 Jeep Patriot 2.4 Electrical Issue

I am having a reoccurring issue with my 2007 Jeep Patriot lately. While driving and even while in stopped and in Park, all the icons on my dashboard will illuminate while the speedometer and tachometer drops to 0. This happens briefly and does not affect the steering, speed, exterior/interior lighting, or and other electrical controls. Sometimes it occurs once a week other times it happens every 5 seconds. I've searched the web and done some research however have yet to come up with a viable explanation.

Sounds like a bad wire or connection related to the instrument panel. That kind of problem is hard to track down. I would first start looking at the fuse panel and then the power & ground wires for the panel.

Hi skoooot,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
