2007 2.4L Compass Short Runner Valve Replacement

This was my daughters 16th birthday present. She is now 21 and has 110k miles on her baby. The check engine light came on and I took it to Jeep for a diagnostic. The wanted just under $500 to replace the "Short Runner Valve"; that amount sounds like a whole new intake. Can I have just the valve replaced as I work at a dealership and can have one of our techs do the labor?

I'm in the process of building a new 'puter and it will be awhile before my FSM is loaded back up, provided it works with the new 64 bit OS. I hope someone can jump in here and help out.
