2.5 mph bumpers?

Does anyone know if the Patriot (2008 specifically) has bumpers that meet the Federal standard? A teenager backed into mine, I don't see any structural damage, only scraped paint. Curious if futher damage may have been done or the bumpers are designed to absorb this kind of thing.
Thanks.

Far as I know, ALL U.S. built vehicles have to meet the gov'ment standards for impact bumpers. sry for your pain. I know what it's like to get backed into. My Compass was only a few months old when (gasp!!!) a WRANGLER backed into it at my daughter's high school!!!

These teenagers! I know all passenger cars have to meet the standard but not sure about other types of vehicles.

Passenger cars includes anything that has a GVWR of less than 9,000 lb ITBJRC

Which would include most 3/4 ton trucks, and everything downward from there.
