120 vs. 140 amp alternator

I think I posted about this before but don't recall getting an answer. Anybody know why they equipped Freedom Drive 2 Patriots with the 140 amp alternator over the 120 amp? There's not much of anything added that would require the extra 20 amps. Were they planning on us accessorizing?

I don't know why either. The only 'extra' electrical items that I know of are for the 'Hill Descent (brake controller0 and the throttle increase in off-road mode.

But all it does in off road mode is lock the tranny on the lowest ratio. Same as every standing start from a stop light. I dont see extra juice required for tgat unless its a solenoid of some sort?

How does Hill Descent Control work?
