08 Patriot remote start green wire

Has anybody found out where the solid green wire in the remote start kit goes? I've read posts where people said it did not work putting it to the gn/vt wire.
I have the update on the new hood switch, but nothing on the wire color chage for the green wire.
Also there are no gromets in the firewall, you have to go through the wheel well..

I haven't found anything on the kit in the Service Manual but all that I have is the '07. I'm still looking but what kind of connectors are you working with? Is it a plug or all separate wires? What are the other colors? How many wires? Do you have the Security System?

It is a solid green wire that on the previous kit was gn/vt horn wire that got soldered to the gn/vt wire at the steering column. Now it's longer and seems like it goes to the engine compartment. I've read that people have tried to solder it to the gn/vt wire but the horn doesn't work with when they do this.

I don't know if these will help but may give some additional info. I couldn't find any instructions for the MK's but here they are for Liberty and Grand Cherokee

The wiring diagrams are around pg 17 on both.

Here's the parts book for the WK. The Horn relay is in the power distribution center on the drivers side between the battery and the master cylinder.
