08 Jeep Patriot AC Question

For those more qualified and knowledgable, I have a quick question:

The last few weeks my AC Compressor has been making a squeaking sound when in idle and turned on (the sound stopped once gas was applied to get under power), and last night the noise stopped - replaced by the sound of a bearing running loose.

Since my AC Compressor no longer kicks on (it only blows regular air not cold) I am going under the assumption that the AC Compressor Clutch died finally, and I will have to replace it. I have a line on the clutch itself, but AZ and Adv is telling me that I'd have to swap out the entire unit because they don't get just the clutch.

[b]My question is - do you know if it is possible to replace ONLY the AC Clutch without having to replace the entire compressor?

Trying to hopefully save myself a few hundred dollars in replacing the piece myself here.
