zombieCat 2011 Rubicon Build Thread

This is a thread for the buildup of my 2011 Unlimited Rubicon.

Initial Plans:
  • 4" Pro Comp Lift (done)
  • 35x12.5R15 BFG T/A KM2s (done)
  • Pro Comp 15x8 (3.75" bsp) black steel wheels (done)
  • Pull carpet, LineX tub
  • Vinyl seat covers front & back
  • Throw the top & doors away until October
  • Custom rear bumper/tire carrier/jerry can mounts
  • Custom rock rails
  • Custom front bumper
  • Custom roof rack

I'm thinking of eventually doing a steampunk theme on the thing. Already have a couple of minor ideas, always open for more

Here it is stock with the top down:

And this was waiting on my doorstep when I got home tonight (Pro Comp 4" lift). It's going on Saturday, along with new wheels and tires (if they get here in time):

Should be fun!

Cannot wait to see this. Is that a turtle waiting to eat your tires? Where in the Northwest are you?

Last parts needed to get the 35s on arrived tonight. First thing in the morning, the lift, tires/wheels go on. I'll try to get pics of the process, definitely pics after it's done.

OK, got the lift and tires on. Took about 2 hours. Ended up chopping off a couple inches of the rocker guard and pinch seam. Drives like a dream
