I will be posting a thread on the mounting, which will show a CAD drawing of the light mounting bar that I made, as well as various photos. I will post some side shots, as well.

To answer another question (above), this bar will mot interfere with the opening of a Wild Boar rack. It is mounted to the rack's frame, not to the rack itself. I don't have the opening rack on particular on this particular one, so I can't demonstrate.
I know what this calls for.......

I will get a shot of the XMitter and the HID's working together tomorrow or the next day.
Whoa, that is BRIGHT, I bet that woke up all the sleeping aligators out there!

Is that a kit you installed or is that your own design?

Edit: I just read elsewhere that it was $1600?

That LED XMitter light bar looks very good.

@Dugn8r

You have mounted the XMitter on the rack of your JK but I have no rack so what possibility I have to mount the XMitter ?

Can I buy any mounting system for that ?

My first favourite was that because it is complete to mount and do not look bad also:

Delta SkyBar

Thank you in forward for any advice.

There are several ways you can mount the XMitter. It can be mounted to a flat surface or to a round bar. You could buy something like this:

Light Bar

If you were going to use this bar, I would mount it up-side-down to keep the profile low.

OR, preferably, you could have a really nice one made out of aluminum. The really nice thing about the XMitter is that it is so thin - it is only 3" tall. THis means if you were to have a mount made, the bar on the mount could be level with the black line near the top of the windshield. THen once you mount the XMitter, the top would be level with the top of the windshield frame, not causing any additional drag on the vehicle. I had to think long and hard about not doing this, but eventually the rack idea won - only because I needed a rack.

Thank you very much for the advise !

I have to think about the complete theme again because the price difference between the Delta SkyBar and the XMitter is really BIG

But the XMitter looks really cool an your Jeep

I wonder how a couple of these bars in the 6" length would work/look on a Rugged Ridge bumper or one of them would work on the brush guard of a bumper? Would it pass for use as a fog lamp or just blind all oncoming traffic. I like the idea of that large light bar on the rack, but for me it is too much. With that said, I cannot believe the amount of light that it puts out. It is incredible. If anyone has added one of the shorter units to their bumper, please post how and how it works for you.

These lights are like...... you getting held down and having a HID shined in ur eyeball bright.

I would think Off-road use only. Unless theres no cars coming at you on the road. Then your good.

Just curious, but why do you need a hard top to run this?

You don't "need" a hard top.

I put my soft top up and down enough that there's no way I'd add a roof rack (I wouldn't have that light bar if I didn't have a roof rack - my opinion) just for the simple reason that it would take that much longer to put it up and down

I love the look, it's just not what works for me is all.
