You don't think the five inches is an even mirror-to-mirror comparison? Why would they rate the TJ with mirrors and the JK without?

As I said in antother thread, I just read the binder that outlines product introductions for '07 that was sitting on the sales manager's desk, and it clearly said that FOUR DOOR orders would be accepted starting 5 July, and TWO DOOR orders could begin on 26 or 27 July (Don't remember which.)

I didn't pay as much attention to the two door info, since I've already got a two door TJ! lol Can't wait for those '07 Unlimiteds!

I just bought a 06 sport friday, debated back and forth.went with the 06 $750 rebate, $500 military rebate, employee price.Plus I had a few things left over from my 03 jeep.I'm not against change, but figured why should I be the first. If I like the new jeep a few years from now I'll get one.Go with what makes you feel right.

I don't get all the people with so many cars! Not just you, Jim, but lots of people have signatures listing 3, 4, 5, 6 cars (and/or trucks).

I just have the one, and it's expensive enough to maintain as it is. Are these others just for fun? Or do you guys list all the vehicles in your family? (i.e. wife's car, son's car, daughter's car, grandma's car, etc.)?

My family has 2 "newer" cars, but we also have 2 old (15 year old) cars that are just for fun. They don't get driven a lot so maintenance is not a huge expence. What sucks is that they cost almost as much to insure as the newer ones. The old cars aren't worth enough to sell though and we enjoy them. In fact my 2 year old son's favorite car is my rusted out beater 1990 Tracker.

Yeah, that's mainly why I was asking. I need a new vehicle, but I would love to keep my existing car -- I love it, it has been good to me, and it's hardly worth anything in a trade-in. But I think keeping it registered, inspected, and insured would be a pretty big expense.

I just keep aquiring new projects and never getting rid of the old ones; Right before I moved from Maryland to Ohio two months ago I got rid of:
-1969 Dodge Charger - 383 big block, auto
-1991 Jeep Cherokee Limited - 4.0L, Auto (needs radiator and grill)
- 2004 Ford Focus (old daily driver)

and right now I'm trying to get rid of:
-1991 Chevy Camaro - 5.0L V8, auto (needs tranny)

And that still leaves me with three old beaters I can't get rid of!

But the Charger had Classic tags, and insurance on it was only a hundred bucks a year, and the only other car that was tagged was the Focus, which I sold to my little sister. I'm actually itching for a new project, and it's really nice to have a backup car for when that "one day install" turns into a week!

Yes this is what DCX is launching the JK like. You will be seeing them on the lots in July.

JK's will be on the lots in July? I didn't think they were starting production until late July.
