You're unlikely to get it cheaper than you will from the factory. If you are ordering from the factory, I'd be inclined to get pretty much very feature I could.

What kind of off-roading do you do?

Edit: Nevermind. After reading Jeep's website I am corrected. Basically if you play in the rocks, get a Rubi for the 4:1 Xfer case. If you play in mud/sand or just trails that exclude rock, go with an X. You'll be just as happy and save some cash.

If you wonder at all, I say get them.
I wondered about lockers. But when I found the exact Jeep I wanted (after months of searching), I wasn't worried that it didn't have lockers. Now I realize that maybe I should've gotten them, and am researching my options (and costs) of adding them aftermarket. As far as electronic sway bar disconnect. Never even crossed my mind to get it- I should have thought about it though... First time out off-road, we disconnected my swaybar. Let me say- it is very easy to disco, but a PITA to actually get to the nut. Quick disco's are on my priority list. But even quick disco's will be a bit of a PITA until I change out the bumper to a midsize or stubby. Electronic disconnect would have been so much nicer Maybe I should've just bought a Rubi ![]()

A socket set and (2) zip ties are WAYYYY cheaper -
...pinned disconnects are a close second by comparison. IMO - it's something else to break. |

I'll be going the pinned route for the time being Zip tied back up, and this time used multiple zip ties to be safe.
