Wipers

Just hitting 30k miles this week and my wipers are starting to suck. Anyone suggest wipers they like or should I just buy the regular ones

I would go with the Bosch icon. Amazing wipers, couldnt ask for better. My only complaint is since they are the best, the wear a little quicker than others. Trust me though you wont be disappointed.

I bought the PIAA super silicone wiper Blade (15"). I have not installed yet but they are recognized to be one of the best in the industry.
Please see http://www.piaa.com/store/p/98-15-38...per-Blade.aspx. Quadratec is one of the suppliers.

Costco has a heck of a deal on Goodyear wipers. They are the frameless variety. I think they work very good and last a whole season. Buy 16" instead of 15". They do fit and wipe a bit more area.

Over the past 5 years I found that the factory Jeep wipers last the longest and are about the same price of the premium brands.

I'm almost at 20k miles and I haven't had any streaking with the originals. There's a good chance I'll just buy replacements from the dealer. I think I've always had to replace them after winter, but not this year. Color me impressed.

All I know is the Napa blades are up there with the worst. I take care of my windshield and blades and they only last me about 4 months or so before they start streaking.

I agree with this. ^^^^^^ Just replaced mine with factory. Originals lasted 20 months but could have still been used a bit longer.

Desert sun and heat kills wipers. Here we just carry extras and change them when it starts to rain.

I buy the cheapest ones possible. I've had all sets of wipers, cheap, expensive, fancy double bladed, they all crap the bed going into winter and the first freeze, and into the 100deg summers.
I now buy new wipers twice a year and I think I may spend 20 bucks for both. Opposed to 50 for both.

I can never get the rolls of it to lay right, not to mention I haven't seen a roll of just the rubber in years. It always seems the blade wants to fall in two directions and always streaks really bad right in front of my face, but works great everywhere else.
