Wiper Blades FYI

Just figured I would tell everyone that I was looking to replace my wipers yesterday only to find that the 15" selection is horrible. I proceeded to ask the guy at advance if I could slip on a set of 16" blades to check for fit, and they work fine, no overlapping the edges of the windscreen or clearance problems. So if anyone is looking to replace their wipers and can't find nice 15" blades, jump to 16" and you should be able to find a quality product in that size.

Have a good day!

Just replaced mine as well. After 2 years they were totally destroyed. Ended up going with a cheap set and will just replace annually going forward.

What was interesting was the one off road store I tried checked the supplier catalog and it actually said 15" for drivers side and 13" for passenger. I was able to put them right.

I got the Anco as well. Around $9 each at PEP and a $10 rebate. Can't beat that.

Walmart has the RainX Latitudes in 16" now. They are pretty much the same thing.

PIAA is a popular replacement. I"m still on my original wipers, but then again, it does not snow down here.

The PIAA's are great for water. I had mine on in the snow and they were horrible. If there was any sticking at all they were falling apart. I was able to get the metal strips back in the silicone grooves but it was a pain in the butt in 15 degree weather. We really need and all rubber/plastic model.

Mud on the windshield keeps eating mine up; thanks for the 16" info. I had been wondering about that...
I'll buy my 3rd set this year today.

how about the rear

How about the rear blade for those with the Hardtop. Anyone replace that one yet? What brand, style, cost? I notice there seem to be 'rear window specific' blades in some brands.

My stock blades finally died after almost 3 years. $8.47 15" Bosch Excel+. Ordered 8pm 4/1 and they were at my office by noon 4/2. The local Advanced Auto didn't have any wipers under $16/ea.

BTW, the stock ones both appeared to be 15" in length (matched the new ones exactly).
