Window Cleaner For A Soft Top JK

So from the forums and reading the manual I've learned not to take my car through the car wash unless it's "touch less" my question is ... what is the best way to clean the plastic windows ? and what is the best cleaner to use on the windows ?

You can use Bestop Window Cleaner or any other quality plastic cleaner. I've used Mequiars for years and it works great..

x2. BTW you shouldn't take it thru a car wash at all. The chemicals are bad for the window material. Can turn it yellow and deteriorate it.

I love Plexus for the soft top windows: http://www.amazon.com/Vega-Plexus-Sp...eywords=plexus. A lot of HArley dealers carry it, and some boat shops.

You should avoid window cleaners with alcohol and ammonia in them. You can use a mild dishwasihing soap on them but make sure you use a clean terry cloth or microfiber cloth and change the cloth often. Then you should use a protectant after the cleaning. I use 303 protectant but others have there favorite protectant. Bestop the company that makes the OEM has a cleaning kit you can buy that comes with a cleaner for the top and windows, a protectant for the top and windows and a zipper cleaner and lubricant. Hope that helps. Remember that the plastic windows scratch fairly easily so try to rinse off major debris first. Scratches require a whole different product to remove if at all.
