Where did you mount Your HAM/CB
I just purchased a Yaesu FT -7800 and I am installing it tonight. Everything looks pretty easy and is going smoothly except for the operators mind. I cant figure out where I want to mount it. I should state I have the seperation package and for those that dont know it has a detachable face plate. So all I really need to show is the face plate with its own mount. My problem is for the device itself. I fear putting it on the floor and it getting wet. I fear putting it in the glove box because it will not get enough ventiliation. The wires to the battery are just long enough to make it to the back seat.
Any sugessitons would be greatly appreciatted.

I don't have a HAM, but I would like to see where everyone is mounting their CBs as well...

do you ever bang your head on it, esp. when you wheel and get jolted around?
that is my concern with the tuffy console...

LOL, I wear mine too my friend....and to the other wise guy, I do drive slow, ask all the other guys that pile up behind me on the trails...
seriously, I bang my head on the roll bar to the left of my head all the time, and sometimes to the back of my head too...it was a serious question...
so I take it you guys don't bump your heads?

been there once or twice too...I have the Michael Phelps type build...only much stockier...but my height is in my Torso, which means my head rides high in the Jeep, even with the seat adjust all the way down, but I am still considering the tuffy thing....
