where did you mount your cb in you jk ??

Quadratec has a tuffy locking overhead console designed for cbs, Im thinking about this for myself.

that thing is a grip lol looks grate but i need to atlead get biger tires first lol ( i have the 16inch street tires on my 09 ) i am going to get a set of used rubi's lol but i will get taht in the future

I made a simple bracket that attaches to the existing screws on the side of the center console. The 'U' bracket for the CB is riveted to the bracket I created.

The CB sits vertically along side my leg (no interference at all with my legs) and I spliced in a QD for the power wires. That way, it takes me 10 seconds to disconnect the power, the antenna and external speaker, drop the whole rig into my locking storage.

As you can see, I have a Cobra 19, but I had a full-size unit there before I switched to a 'throw-away'.

I have the same CB and mounted it under the passenger side dash. There is a spot to screw it into with minor drilling. For the most part it is out of sight and can be clearly seen from the driver side. If you changed channels often this wouldn't be a good location though.

I had mine mounted in my TJ in the same location and even with the doors off I never had it stolen since it is kind of out of sight, maybe I was lucky but it was inexpensive anyway.

True, but I only use it on trail rides with other people and we always use the same channel... it's out of sight but still available the few times it is needed.
