What's that on the new 4-door Jeep?!?!?

Between the vents there are two pairs of vertically orientend toggle swtiches... Are these for the windows?

Seems like an interesting place to place them if it is. Sort of makes sennse... that way either person in the front seat can open or close any of the windows, while still keeping the doors interchangable between the 2-door and 4-door versions.

Yes those are the window switches, that is what they did on the KJ for the first few years.

This pic shows something like a switch, but I don't know what it is exactly.

I hope the power windows and locks are not standard on the rubicon. Its just more to wiegh the door down when you remove it and more wires.

What a horrible place for a lock switch. It looks like you could/would bump it getting out of the vehicle... I hope thats an option! I dont want it!

They won't have wires connecting the doors to the body; it's gonna have contact patches that meet up. Which, I would assume, means that the windows will only move up or down if the doors are closed.

That sucks, I like to carry them with the windows down and clean them before putting them back on. The contact plate is a good idea though.

If you like the idea of contact plates check out the tailgate on your TJ. It has them!

Looks like the master window control to me, and the middle switch is a lock-out so only the driver can control the windows. Well, the passenger too... what an odd place for it.

It's definitely for windows, you can see the top two switches say "Auto" so you don't have to hold it down. Also, there are window icons:

Where did you hear this? I ask because it goes against everything else I've heard -- that there will be a wire-harness-plug-thingy that must be manually undone to remove the door.
