What years was Cosmos Blue available?

Like the title said. Also, did that color change at all from year to year, as in, lighter or darker? I see various Jeep pics online, claiming to be painted Cosmos Blue, and some look lighter than others. I know it could be differences in lighting, but I'm asking, just to make sure.

Cosmos Blue, aka "Smurf", was offered late 2010 and also all of 2011. It did not change.

There was another color called "Island Blue" that is similar, but different than Cosmos. There is also a color called "Deep Water Blue" that was a deeper blue. But Cosmos is different than them all in that it was a flat blue.

Cosmos was only offered in the 2011 model year, and the first 3 build months of 2012. Extremely limited production numbers on it as well

When you say "flat", do you mean non-metallic?

Yes, and Cosmos isn't rare at all. My dealer had 3 on the lot when I bought mine, and I see others around every week. It's a popular color around here.

It's Kentucky... Blue and red are the most popular colors in the state.

IIRC the production numbers for cosmos was only around 9500 units

I've got a 2012 in Cosmos, I think you could only order them up to the beginning of October 2011.

The color definately looks lighter or darker based on the amount of sunlight or cloud cover and time of day. It's very cool in that regard.

Ya think? Surf Blue looks metallic and Cosmos looks like a pastel color to me. Other than both being blue, I don't see a similarity at all.
