What's needed to run 37's on a JK unlimited rubicon

I got rid of my TJ and I'm new to JK's. I'm thinking about buying an unlimited rubicon. I already know I'm going to want 37's, mostly because of the breakover angle.

I've been reading a good bit, but I haven't found a clear answer of exactly what's needed to reliably run 37's on an unlimited rubicon.

5.13's or 5.38's, a couple inches of lift, trimmed fender flares, and the tires. Maybe weld the tubes and guesset the C's on the front axle.

5.13 and youll be fine, (3.8L 6sp, 5.13 and 39" tires here with no problems - kevin at 4ws.com has 42" and 5.13 with hemi auto with no complaints)

4" lift (i vote on Rock Krawler 3.5" Long Arm w/HD tie rod, HD drag link, and bump stops - mgiht as well do it right at get a Long Arm lift)

fenders (i vote on Xenon)

you may have to trim the pinch seam. it can dig into rear tires on full flex. check my build thread for pics of my tire rub issues (link in sig)

Dana 44 front and rear axles, sleeve them, C gusset them, chromoly shafts install, lockers (i like ARB) - if you like to wheel it hard and often, Dana 60's then

fat gas card. even with gears you will have to refill more often. i went from 19-23 mpg to 11-13 mpg. its a Jeep not a Prius

front and rear 1310 drive shafts (i vote on tom woods)

may have to trim front bumper to prevent tire rub. or just get a new bumper

think thats it. with right wheel tire combo you shouldnt have to use wheel spacers. (17x8.5 4.5" backspacing walker evans beadlocks with 39x14.50 pitbull maddogs and i dont have the issues others complain about.) most everyone has had to trim the pinch seam, i havent done this yet.

More information on your JK and what you plan to use it for would be very helpful for us...

If you run an auto trans.. go with 5:38 gears and dont look back. Lift wise, 3" with trimmed fenders and some adjustment to the pinch seem will do great.. you can always go with more lift, but I like my COG low as I can.. Definitely upgrade the axles, but I'm more of a proactive person then reactive. Other then that you might wanna throw in a set of drive shafts, or atleast the front. then wheel the heck out of it!

I'm still get 15-16mpg with my 35 mtr's w/Kevlar. Gears should put me right back to the 16-17mpg range.

3.5 inches of lift, trimmed fenders, fixed the pinch weld and I still had to add an inch to the bump stops to keep them from rubbing. I will be adding another inch of lift to get the maximum flex from my lift. Doing a custom crossmember and skid plate can gain you at least 2.5 inches of breakover clearance also.
