What PSI to run on stock 17" SRA
Whats good for hwy? Whats good for trails?
I like to run mine on my JKU at around 32, any higher and it's just too harsh and "skittery" on the highway. If you have TPMS it will set your light, oh well. Off road, depends on your use, but you could probably safely run down to 15. Some people go as low as 10 for sand dunes and stuff. For light trails, I just leave mine where they are.
28-30 psi seems to be the best for the highway. Those stock tires are not really meant to be taken off road and shouldn't be aired down too much. They have very weak sidewalls and I've seen many get flats on the trail. Not sure why they put these tires on Jeeps except for better mileage and being quiet on the highway. If you're planning on doing much off road driving, I'd look at a set of heavier duty ATs or MTs.
