What Gears?

I have an auto 2010 4 door Sport, all stock suspension, axles, ect.
I'm getting a 2.5 Inch lift next week finally, and 35's the day after. I know I'm going to regear, so what's the ideal ratio I should go for? Don't plan on any real rough off roading, just want good power and mph

you have a thread on this. did not get the answer you were looking for?

most people with that year auto 5:13 gears.

you still need to file out the Jeep profile. Your jeep has a 3.8 not a 3.6

Most people will tell you to go 5.13 with the 3.8, auto, D30 and 35's combo

I would also suggest going with the 5.13's. You need more gear in the 3.8 than you do in the 3.6.

What gears do you have in there now? If you have the 3.21's, you will also need a new carrier in the front. Also, whatever you do, I suggest getting the master install kit. This will give you the bearings along with everything else you need. Makes the install a lot safer and easier!

We have the 5.13's from Yukon with the master install kits starting at $549.99 shipped! Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you my friend! Feel free to PM, email, or call at anytime!

I have the 3.6 in my 2008 Unlimited with a 2.5 lift/35's. 5:13 still good for me? I would have the dealer install btw....any ballpark estimates I can have in my pocket when I ask them to price?

08's came with the 3.8. They didn't start the 3.6 until 2012. But yes, you should still be good.

For a ball park, most shops charge $60-100 a hour labor. We have seen estimates upwards of $1,000.00 just to install the gears! I would check other shops as the dealer will be one of the highest out there.
