What do i really need with 35's

New to this JKU sport 2013 3.21 gear, I am adding 35's TF 2.5 coil lift with shocks and going to re-gear. Daily driver light trails and mud. What else do I need? Adjustable frt track bar mainly for strength? Tie rods? Want to upgrade where it's needed looking for suggestions

While you are re gearing sleeving the front axle and adding gussets to the c's would help keep the axle happier for awhile. Since the gussets need to be welded on and can melt or distort the factory plastic lined crappy ball joints new Synergy replacements could be installed at the same time. Other than that if you planned on adding a front or rear locker adding it with the regear would be cost effective as well.

Front end steering components on the JK are weak adding the leverage and weight of larger tires will exemplify this. A new drag link and tie rod will help , but are easily added after the above items as time or money allows. With the 2012 and up front driveline angles are an issue flexed out so consider a ds in the future. The exhaust crosspipe may also interfere with the stock driveline at droop. Exhaust spacers or an afe pipe may be needed depending on if you have a 2 or a 4dr.

What brand of shocks are planning on using with the TF kit?

Shocks are the teraflex 9550, I was told with these I will not need exhaust spacers I am sure do to travel length. TF rep told me

I would definitely do a front adj. track bar. Stocker is notoriously week and will pull your axle to driver somewhat and that could trip out the traction control. TF and Synergy both make very good aftermarket TBs. good luck man and post up some pics after install.

I will post before and after pictures ordering all items this coming up week so should be installing in two weeks hopefully.

Not sure why the TF dealer said you didn't need spacers but when I put my 2.5" teraflex bb on there was no doubt I needed exhaust spacers before I went offroading.

I agree. I'm running 3.73's with 285/75R17 (small 33" tire). the combo is comfortable/great for a daily driver but I would be happy with 4.10's.

Since my commute consists of 2 lanes and 40mph - 60mph speeds, I decided to go with 4.88 gears and 35" Goodyear MTR/K. If I saw more highway miles, I would have chosen the 4.56's.

I'm running 4.88's and 35's- and can still comfortably run 70-75 an get 14mpg's. If I keep it at 60-65, I pull 18mpg's. My around town driving is great- plenty of pep and comfortable merging with traffic.

As my daily job requires a lot of hwy driving- I will be jumping up to 37's at the next tire purchase to gain a few mpg's back at 75.
