I de-badged my week old flame red Wrangler X. I also had the stock wheels painted a matte black finish and it looks absolutely amazing. I cant wait to get my lift and tires now. The bone stock factory wheels turned out 10 times better than I expected painted matte black. One of my best buds did the painting for me. He is a perfectionist and it definately shows. I will take pictures tomorrow and post up a picture.
I was brainstorming on what else I could do to make the wheels look even more custom and came up with what I think is a great idea.... I want to get extra trail rated badges and center them on the center of the center cap of each wheel.
So very soon will be a 2" lift and some 33" mud terrians of some type on my new wheels. Should be sweet.
Removed Sahara decals and installed JK decals from Project-JK.com
Removed Jeep badge from front and have two coats of matte black done
Installed paint mathed AC vent rings
Wired up and installed the solenoid for my Warn M8000. Thoroughly tested and it's awesome.
I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday, but I got the rear ACOS installed.
We didn't have the time to play with them like I was hoping. I wanted to dial both the front and rear all the way out and take pics/measurements but it didn't happen. Just putting them in having them, as compressed as they can get it, lifted the rear just over .5". I took out a TF 1" spacer and the factory isolater (.5") to put these in.
I didn't put the bumpstop pieces in since I was using the ones outside of the coils for now. I figure sometime next summer I'll get the bumpstop expansion kit.
Installed black painted aluminum front grill screen. Used Lowe's square tie holders with 3M industrial backing tape (for car moldings etc..) and secured with epoxy glue..) Was a minor mod but adds a lot to the looks in the front and the radiator and transmission oil cooler now have some protection..
