Popped my doors off for the first time today and took the top down.
Question for those with 4 doors...do your top bows lay "flat" against the tub or do they stay along the roll cage? I ask because I feel like it should lay flat like my old TJ, but it doesn't want to work. I've taken to velcro'ing the bows right to the roll cage which works ok for now. What am I doing wrong?

Went from 15/16 front and 58 rear coils(08' 66k miles) with a TF Leveling kit, to 18 front 59 rear coils and Rubicon shocks(all brand new) with the TF Leveling kit. Gained about 1" upfront. Before and after pics.

The bows should lay flat. Make sure after you flip the first part of the top back, as in when it's in the sunrider position, make sure you pull all the fabric out from between the bows before unlatching and lowering it the rest of the way. There are two folds of fabric (upper/lower) to pull back and out from the bows and it should makes sort of a "w" shape fold before lowering the top the rest of the way.

I see...so when I flip the sunrider portion back, all the fabric should be as far rear as possible? And same for the second "flip" back? I'll give it a shot when I drop it again tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice!

Installed aFe's Cold Air Intake
19 years after selling my 4 cylinder Wrangler S I'm excited to be back into a new 2012 Unlimited Rubicon. First mod - installing aFe's cold air intake to produce an increase of 12hp. Best part of the intake is the enhanced note of the engine.
Up next: aFe Y pipe (for the lift), aFe exhaust, Rubicon Express lift, Monster XD rims, and Mickey Thompson 35 ATZ's

Check this thread. I posted pics to show the correct and incorrect "W" fold.

Finally took off the doors. 6 months and 5000 miles to finally get the chance.
80 degree weather in NC in March? Heels in the tourney. God is happy!
