I've been given permission to post these now.
Wednesday night, Bill from Aussie Locker, and Ryan from bluedogjeep.com put an Aussie Locker in the front D30 of my JK.
Side pieces in...the center shaft was inserted to measure clearance.
Next two are of the side pieces
Had to get a pic of the empty diff to show my dad (Hi, Dad!)
Ryan getting the side pieces in and ready for the rest.
Ryan lining up the centers
Bill from Aussie assisting Ryan as he inserts the springs
Complete except for the Ring Gear
Ready to go!
Back in the Diff housing. you notice you don't have to pull the tie-rod to get the carrier out!
in two-wheel drive, I don't even notice it's in there unless I make a SHARP corner, such as in a parking lot. then I hear it ratchet a little. I haven't had it offroad yet, but Ryan and Bill took it for a quick test drive in a field near the shop and said it was "night and day" compared to what it was with the open diff.
