Slowly drying out the Jeep. Got unexpectedly caught in rain (remnants of Nate) coming back from a wheeling trip with no doors or roof and it was an 8 hour drive.

Toasted my Pioneer HU, the Kenwood ham rig and the CB but I was able to salvage the CB. The Pioneer may have survived if I hadn't dropped the detachable screen and shattered it putting it back in after cleaning the interconnects and switches. $275 for a replacement faceplate or $400 for a new 10.1" Android HU with a JK bezel............... Android ordered.

Spare Yaesu is now mounted in a place where if it gets submerged, I have much bigger problems.

In hindsight, mounting a radio under the passenger's seat was not a good idea.

Oh, man. What a shame.

Care to share which Android you ordered?

I'm not getting upset, ultimately, it was my responsibility to have a contingency plan and I didn't. It was an expensive reminder to plan for anything. Not that I wanted to win this but I'm now in the running for my clubs carnage award.

I went with the Seicane Android 7.1.2 unit. Mike-Mike has a Seicane Android 6 and likes it and is waiting for his Seicane Android 7 unit. I had a Joying Android 4.4 in my pickup and loved the features of it. The biggest selling points to me were the 10.1" screen, CANBUS decoder and the complete replacement bezel kit. It will look stock.

I use the maplets app on the trails and have GPS enabled maps for just about all the places I wheel, I was using App Radio with HDMI on my Pioneer but the screen was a bit too small for maplets.

I added an angry monster/vadar grill. Sorry purist, but I like it.

Amber LED running lights in honey comb grill inserts. Love the look. Super easy install.

Installed a new front driveshaft that'd allow me to use my sway bar disconnect again after the lift and took it out for a test. Test successful.

New tail lights, still not 100% satisfied- not bright enough.

1st picture has running & brake lights on for both. The green Jeep looks brighter, until you step back 20, 50, 100'. It's like it lights up the housing great, but doesn't throw the light very far.

Both are Amazon specials.

What did I do to my JK today

So i picked up a used 2013 JKU sport 3 months ogo and so far installed is the following Bartact Paracord roll bar grab handles,*Truck-Lite heated led headlights, Rugged Ridge Spartan Teeth Grille, Smittybilt G.E.A.R. Seat Cover set,AFE throttle body spacer,

Volant PowerCore Intake System, Quadratec Ultimate All Weather Floor Liner set, Mopar fuel door
The plan is to install minor mods as I go and than upgrade parts as they wear or break.
As for today I put gas in and drove to work
