gave it a wax job before winter hits. pulled the rubber bumpstops out of the hood to clean up underneath them and went to lift the hood to pull them back through after i got done. just so happens i forgot to put my windsheild wipers back down. hood hit the wipers and they dug right into the paint....so much for trying to preserve my finish.

Hi Oregon Vette,
I am looking at doing the same. Did you stay with the stock Rubicon size tires, or go larger?

By the way they look great.

Thanks,
Hutch

Loaded a turkey in the back (butter ball) and drove out to friends pasture and fried the turkey for Thanksgiving. Barely got the tires muddy but it was fun.

Diggin' the rig! Gettin' the Congo Rack installed on the 9th to carry the 'yak as well. The only thing I hate is having to lift the 73lb. 'yak up to the rack. Do you fish from your rig?

Hey - I don't fish, but like to paddle!! I have a couple of "light touring" kayaks (14.5', 15.5' long), about 55lbs. each. Check out Yakima boat loaders - they do the trick in helping get those kayaks up top. I bought the Yakima crossbar adapters, and used Yakima crossbars, Yakima Hull Raisers for the cradles and Yakima Boat Loaders to help get them up. Check it out! http://www.orsracksdirect.com/yakima...tructions.html

all stock, factory rubi wheels & tires. The tires have 0 miles on them. The original owner bought the rubi as it rolled out of the dealer prep trailer and immediately put 35"'s on it.

I bought the tires/wheels for 700 total.

I will be putting a small lift (1.75 or 2") sometime soon just to lift it up a tad. That's it. Just a cleaner, slightly lifted somewhat spartan look.

My wife and I installed a black and red Type S steering wheel cover. It took both of us to do it. One to hold the hair dryer, and the other to try to stretch the cover as far as possible.
After about a 10 minute struggle, the steering wheel cover fits nicely, .
