Everybody's all spending Valentines day with the love of their lives out at movies and at dinner and whatnot. My wife and I decided that's too cliche. So we picked up a locker and slapped it in. Powertrax Lock Right lunchbox locker. Packing up to test it out tonight, too

Ok to heck with the mic, where'd you mount the control box/is there a write up? Looked today...no room to move around back there.

It fits just to the side of the glove box. It's a tight squeeze but it works... Just be careful with your hands back there, I sliced my thumb up pretty good. Mo haven't hooked up to the battery yet since I lost too much light last night and my workshop light broke. Ill do a more formal write up on installing it in this location once it's more completed.

It should also be said that I have small girly hands so I was able to feed the cable through a lot easier than my husband would have been able too...

Mounted mine behind the dash under the steering wheel. Drilled a hole in the lower dash by my knees for the cord and cleaned it up w a rubber grommet.

I didn't like that option because if having to drill into the plastic. And the cord by my knees would drive me bonkers.

Status report on the Powertrax Lock Right locker. I don't like it. I mean, the locker itself performed flawlessly and I don't hear that ratchet sound some people whine about. I just feel like I had more control without the locker. Front end likes to kick around when I'm on loose dirt more than it did open diffs. Actually had to get strapped once last night... Never got stuck in this spot open/open, but that front end wandered and I got wedged in a perfect Jeep sized hole. No forward, no backward, no left or right... Get the strap

Also tagged my driver door and rear quarter panel on a boulder. I'm almost out of touch up paint

Received, powder coated, and installed some JCR OFFROAD Classic Rock Sliders from KrawlOff-Road. Took about 2hrs. Still trying to get 2 pinch seem bolts on, but really these things aren't going anywhere. Decided against classic black and opted for a color somewhere between the wheels and body.

Looks great! I have the Drake inserts too and those wheels really make the Commando. I'm thinking about the Duratracs too.
