Ha Ha ... make it HER Jeep and I bet she'll be eager for those mods! At least that is how it works in my house.

After a month of living in our new apartment, I finally set up my hooks for hanging the doors and the ratchet straps for easy, one-person top removal.

Nice setup man. That's what I'm doing for my doors too. Just have to figure out where to hang them

Thank you. All together, I've spent $45-50 for everything to hang the top and the doors. Originally, I was wanting to spend almost $300 just for a hard top hoist. I decided I'd rather put that money into other stuff for the Jeep and instead just take a few extra minutes removing/installing the top.

Are you in touch with Jeep Nation? They have an active FB page and people sell stuff all the time.

You might also check out 3rd Coast Jeepers out of CC since they're literally just down the road from SA. Also on FB.

Hell yeah way cheaper. I'm waiting to do the hooks until I'm in the new house.

I bought the harken hoist for about $125. Works Great. Very easy to use. Highly recommend it. Better than homemade straps or hoist if anyone is still in the market.

Took it to it's first club meeting and introduced it to a CJ-7 and a Scrambler with a new V8.

I hugged it. After driving a Prius rental car in DC for the past two days, I was ready to drive that thing off a bridge.

How did you mount that? It looks like just screws, self tapping I assume, but do you think it will hold?

Thru bolted. I took the tail light out (easy 4 screws) and had plenty of room to put a washer and locknut on a #10-24 stainless machine screw. Tried it out several times tonight and it doesn't even flex the jeep body.
