I was driving my jk home yesterday and the chrome piece on the shift knob fell off in my hand. Has this happened to any one else? I know I can glue it back on I just though it was weird.. BTW 6sp tranny

Do it right the first time or don't do it at all.

From what I am seeing, your Jeep obviously wants you to upgrade to an Atlas II or needs new spark plugs.

If you can get past that, its great. It also acts as a great enclosure for a small subwoofer...keeps the bass from floating away.
Ya that's not too huge of a concern right now. We've got a big fat Durango and a 5 x 10 utility trailer if need be for real big things. I'm just looking for a bit of security over the summer

Couldn't resist. but seriously, it has not happened to me. Looks like I see a retaining clip/tab on the ring, might not have been engaged correctly.

Yes. That top portion of these cheap, plastic shifter knobs eventually break off. Happened on my '07, my '12, and on my friend's Jeep as well. I'd highly recommend getting the Drake aluminum shifter knobs as a replacement. They go well with the interior.

I dunno why people pay for stuff like tailgate tables. Mine was free after I saw my neighbor trashing an old dresser lol

Thanks! I think I've used this thing more than any other mod yet lol. Every morning I make a pot of coffee, open the tailgate and sit in my lawn chair and have breakfast on this table. Keeps the smell of food from reaching my dogs nose so I can wake up in peace, anyways. Plus I'm more at home in the garage than inside
