Considering the other thread, I think this is an understatement! I'd like to find a way to keep the tranny cooler.

I used 1/8" board for the backing, then 1/2" styrofoam insulation board and covered with automotive vinyl. Total parts cost about $80 with the vinyl being the most expensive by far @16 per yard, 3 yds. required (and 2 4x8 sheets of each type of board, available at Home Depot) and attached with 2" white industrial strength sticky back velcro.

lets see if this works

edit: ok i figured out why this isnt working you need to upload these to a photo sharing site such as photobucket and use the IMG brackets and tags from there

Update: The sticky back velcro didn't work. First time the sun came out and it got over 95 degrees, the glue turned loose. I've replaced that with some different glue and plain 2" velcro. Next time the sun comes out, we'll see.

Not really lol. i cleaned it with soap / water then sanded it so the paint would stick. then just kinda sprayed away lol. was careful around the bumper and such but i did hold some paper out on the other side to make sure no over spray got on stuff. but yup bbq paint rated at 1200 deg. (idk if i said that already)

Looks good ill try to get some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Sure does, I haven't had the JK up there yet but I can't wait. I like how that mudhole on the powerline can be less than 2 feet deep or like 4-5 feet at times.
