Washed the mud off in preparation for my pre-deployment training at Ft. Bliss. Sorry! Didn't want the dirt to sit the whole time I'm gone.

Stubby and high lift jack

Cut the bumper into a stock stubby and used webbing to hide my high lift jack above my roll bar. Plasti-coat on the grill is drying in the garage. Will post when re installed.

Bed lined the grill and stock stubby.

Next will be front portions of the flares. The previous owner never cleaned it so the clear coat (per the photo) has deteriorated.

If you ever want to get rid of your factory fender flares ill take them! I have the plastic black ones and want it to look a lil nicer. ( until I crush them on a rock or tree)

Discovered what I thought was the source of a "squeak" that sound like it comes from the passenger side engine compartment.

The bolt that holds the back side of the plastic wheel well shroud had a 1/4" gap fully-tightened, this allowing the shroud to move, rub, etc.

Three washers later, everything's nice, tight, and no longer rubbing.

But I still have this squeak that I can hear between 50-60 mph in 5th gear most all the time and sometimes in 4th, same speed.

Any ideas?

Got a little rash on my bumper after the last trail run, so cut bumper into stubby and added VDP end caps. Not sure why I didn't do this a long time ago.

Thanks!! Wasn't that hard, but it took a little time getting the foam panels cut properly and the fabric glued on.

$9 - foam insulation board from Home Depot
$26 - 2 cans of 3M 90 spray adhesive
$24 - 93" of headliner from Joanne's

It's not perfect on all the corners, but once you get it tucked into the recessed hardtop, it's looks pretty good. I'm pleased. I just hope the glue holds in the Texas heat!

Just took it out or a test drive. In addition to better radio sound quality and a quieter ride, there's much less light reflection on the inside also. I'm expecting it to be a little warmer as well. Will test that out when I drive up to Winter Park to go skiing in a couple weeks.

Funny thing is, it's still noisy, you just hear different noises. Lol.

Oh ... Almost forgot. In addition to my hardtop sounds panels / headliner, I put a strip of electrical tap around my Hella windshield mount lights. They were REALLY bright around the exposed rim of the glass. It was distracting. Blinding even. Made it almost harder to look down the road.

Tested it out tonight and it makes a HUGE difference!!

Took off the doors to grease the hinges, did the turn signal mod for the light indicators, put on a mossy oak windshield sticker, and tried figuring why it is squeaking. Please help, it squeaks when idling, then when i barely press on the clutch the squeaking stops completley. Any ideas?
