Wet Okoles for a 4dr JK (pics)
As most of you know, I did a Patterntek treatment on my dash. It's an urban camo, in black white and silver. I love the pattern, but it was WAY louder in the gray and black interior of the jeep. Judge for yourself.....
But since I loved the pattern, I needed to try to tie it all together a bit better. I needed something to pull the white out of the dash and turn the volume down a notch or two. So I ordered a couple of things..... 1) a Rock Hard Sport Cage (http://www.rockhard4x4parts.com/jk-07.html)-- mine is all white and will be installed later this week. and 2) some black and white Wet Okoles. I've worked with a rep who deals with Wet Okole before and was treated very well by them, so I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger with him again. So without further delay..... I think the goal is being accomplished as planned!

A friend of mine ordered them for me, but ultimately I believe they were ordered through the Wet Okole website.
As for breathing? Hmmmm...... have no idea. They sure are compfy though. I put them on at work today, and drove the 8 miles home. That's all. |

How did you mount your GPS unit in there? I see you have the aftermarket dash top, but what stops it from sliding around in that slot?

Do you have to have the Wet Okole logo?

Actually that is my backup cam and not a gps. I actually mount my gps in the very upper left hand corner of the windshield when I use it. Its closer to my driving line of site.
No.... The logo is not necessary. You can go plain or choose from a few logos they offer. Typically I like logo- free but wet-okole is a company that I know a small bit about and am completely happy to have their name displayed. Last edited by ge2; 04-01-2008 at 10:06 AM.. |

Do you have the side airbags? I was wondering what they do for that option. I know they claim that the seat covers have been tested and approved for that setup. I have had the Wet Okole seat covers on two other Wranglers, and plan on ordering them for this one.

No-- I do not have the side airbags in mine. They offer a provision for them, but I have no idea what is is or looks like.

The seat covers look like they fit great, might have to get me a set. As far as the dash, did you lose a bet with a 16 year old party girl? J/K, you did say "judge for yourself."

The Wet Okole's look great. I'm looking forward to seeing your future mods as well.

LOL-- fair enough. I've got thick skin. I won't post pics if I don't expect some sort of criticism. No worries. Actually, I'm a really subtle modder, usually. I thought long and hard about what pattern I wanted to do on this dash (I've Patterntek'd my last several vehicles). Since everything on my jeep is black black black, I needed something with some visual volume on the inside. We'll see how it looks once the roll cage is in too.

I have the daystar center stack topper. So the double sided sticky tape mounting provision that my backup cam monitor has on it's mounting pedistal just stuck to the front of the vertical part of the topper.
You can see the thin white stripe... that is the double sided tape. |
