i was changing my oil last night and noticed the upper raditor hose on my 2012 was collapsed, almost flat, all other hoses look fine, no over heat problems and removing the rad cap doesnt make a differance, i did have my head replaced about 5ooo miles ago, any one else have this issue ?
I sounds like whoever did the head replacement (drained the radiator in process) did not work the air out of the top part of the system when they refilled it. Engine was cold, thermo closed and air could not escape from top hose. I had to run the engine until warm (open the theremostat) and "massage" the upper hose until
the air was out and fluid was in...simple fix.
its been over 5000 miles since the head repair, they did leave it a little low and heater was blowing cold air, filled it and that problem went away, hose is flat with cap off, gonna take it back, still has warenty
Fill up your reservoir to the full mark. Happened to me it was just a little low. I never replaced anything and mine has never had head work.
