I'm not here to start a flame war over this Jeep. I saw it, I drove it, I posted the pictures to be helpful and share with other Jeepers, and gave my opinion on it.

Also, at the engineering round table at Camp Jeep, I was sitting next to one of the drivetrain engineers. Someone commented on how they hate to see the I6 go. The engineer just shook his head and laughed... he feels the same. He belamed it all on the government (as we already know). Also... diesel in a Wrangler in the US won't happen for a long time according to the engineers.

No idea.. this was just a random JK on site. I took this picture as the camp was closing today.

Interesting. Why would a public document originated from DC that we have seen before have a different number in it?

That actually sounds reasonable. Oh, well, it is what it is.

Exactly... if you bought one, you'd enjoy it no doubt. There are just more things to think about. I think DC took a few steps back rather than forward... but their hearts are in the right places.

Do you know how many hp/torque numbers Ford came out with before they actually released the 2003 Cobra? Companies do this ALL the time.

Im not saying the 4-door is an ugly mo fo or whatever you want to call it, actually it has grown on me quite a bit but I will say I dig the SWB JK. And thanks alot Rocky for all the photos looks like a good time at Camp Jeep.

Personally - I only care about the 4dr part. TJ was too small for what I need. That step forward is enough.

Thanks for the pictures.

I would expect that from a factory tuner version - but not from a bread and butter mass production vehicle.

Somebody in the marketing department was sloppy.

The 2003 Cobra was not a factory tuner vehicle, ha. It was a low production (about 10,000 units) vehicle. The same was true of the 1999 Mustang GT and the 2005 Mustang GT. Hell, Ford even put out pictures of the 2003 Mustang V6 on their website with the wrong hood for more than a month--to order. Specs change all the time. Maybe DCX, gasp, lied to increase appeal. Companies do that too.

That sticker's for an UL though. I think the SWB will have better mpg numbers. You know the two wheel drive is going to be in the 20's!

That sticker was actually on the 2 door Rubicon.

The 2006 TJ Unlimited Rubicon is rated at 14 city 18 hwy. So the 2007 figures are higher, not the same.
