Unlimited Rubi vs Unlimited Sahara

Hi, I've been looking at getting the unlimited rubi for awhile but no dealers have them, or they are 6-speed, I drive alot in traffic and would like the auto. I did find a Black unlimited Sahara with full power, towing kit, 6 disc dvd with hardtop and the anti-spin diff and I can get it for 700 over invoice. Most all the offroading I will do is dirt / mud and hill's not many rocks, would this work ok ? I'm new to 4x4 and would I really need the lockers. What are they used for ?

Thanks
Rob

Sounds like you wouldn't really need the lockers. The lockers and 4:1 low range are for some serious off-roading. If your only doing moderate stuff, there really is no need for them. Although, everyone on the boards seem to be Rubi-happy and will tell you to get it no matter what.

Get what suits you best. The sahara will more than likely take you exactly where you want to go in it

I had the same thoughts when shopping (just purchased last week). I felt I didn't really need what the Rubicon had and there were many X and Sahara models around. While I can't say I wouldn't have loved having a Rubicon just to have one, I am perfectly happy with my X and its features. I had to juggle ideas of going off road with going to work everyday and kids. So for me it was auto and hardtop/softtop combo and finding something in stock. Just my two cents...
