Unlimited = LK?

TJ Unlimiteds are called LJ's... are JK Unlimiteds called LK's?

If not, why not? I've never seen or heard them called that before but it makes a lot of sense to me. LJ's are only slightly different than TJ's. 4-door JK's are significantly different than 2-door JK's.

Thoughts, anyone?

Don't really care, plus it does simplify it a bit.

Nope, no LK. Just simply JK Unlimited, or sometimes I've seen it as JKU. But never see an L associated with it.

There was small debate on this awhile ago. I like calling the Unlimited - JKU, or JK4 and then JK2 for the 2-door??? That's my

I'd like to see the difference shown under each person avatar. There is too much difference in the two, can make it confusing.

But why? Shouldn't there be some kind of consistency between model designations? You'd never called an LJ a TJU; you'd get slapped.

I hereby declare that the 4-door JK is now an LK. ACCEPT IT!

On another forum there is a member who works at a dealership and he said that the 4 door was an LK.

But you drive a YJ! What is this imposter doing on our sub-forum?! AND he's making rules and decrees about OUR vehicles! MADNESS! JUST PLAIN MADNESS!

And there will be no banning for arrogance, or leaf springs...

Just square headlights

------------

All joking aside, "LK" just sounds weird... Most people have "JK Wrangler 4 door" or "JK 2 Dr" in their sig anyways...

But I have a two door so I'm not affected in the least bit...

good grief. did they look that old? Man o man... or am I just getting old. Too funny. I saw a high school yearbook pic of some of us kids recently. In the back ground were old CJ7's and giant American sedans. Hilarious. But it looked like a thousand years ago... 1986
