The ULTIMATE protection list...I think.

Searching around the web for a few weeks while talking to you guys made me come up with this list. This, hopefully, is a list of all of the possible protection I will get for a JK:

Shrockworks Rockers

Kilby Ent. Muffler Skid

Solid Diff covers

Rock Hard JK oil pan/transmission skid

Rock Hard JK gas skid

Rock Hard JK transfer case skid (However, I believe the JK comes stock with this...)

If there is anymore to add to the list, let me know, and I will add it! Right now, I'm just looking at skids, but a shrockworks winch bumper is also on the way! Let me know, thanks guys!!!

Added:

Evap skid

cheaper engine skid

Looks like a darn impressive list. I don't know anything about underbody protection, but all of those things certainly look more than capable.

Nice finds. I am getting the Shrocks rockers and front bumper. I found a oil / tranny pan plate on Quadratec for much less money, but those are the first gas tank and tranfer case protection that I've seen. I am adding to my list of must-have's.

As freak of an accident as it was, wouldn't hurt to have the added protection if such an option were available.

If you people will stay on the pavement of the safe streets, these kinds of things would not happen, would they?

I agree. I may have to just make something temporarily until a good aftermarket item becomes available. Makes me a little paranoid about the floor pan as well.

ive read people having fitment issues with both Rockhard and Skidrow oil pan skid plates. Might want to do a little research before you pull the trigger

Say it isn't so!!!

What kind of fitment issues? Holes not lining up? Vital parts being in the way?

exhaust pipes rub the plate i think is what ive read. Creates a vibration... Some have tried to space it with washers but still get a rattle

For the muffler skid? If so, I see no reason not to weld the case to the muffler, do yall?

You wouldn't happen to have a link would you?

...
...
...

Do you all think having all of this is overkill? I just want to be safe? And what about the stock transfer skid? Does it need to be better?
Thanks guys.

Evap canister relocation or the evap canister skid.
That is a definite MUST! That canister is completely exposed AND plastic.

no when i was talking about the exhaust hitting the plate i was talking about the oil pan plate. Where it bolts to the frame in one location the exhaust pipe was hitting the plate and causing a rattle

Oh, my bad! Perhaps welding, or cutting some of the skid off?
