U connect for jk

What is the deal with this? I see that there is a part # for dodge nitro u connect. I would think this would work with wrangler scince the radio is teh same. I herd they might not support wrangler because of wind noise issue. I dont care I would install it anyway. Does anyone have a place to get it?

Based on your link to the Nitro pin out page you provided I would wonder if the
C1 harness is inside the JK since they do not offer the hands free for the JK? If it does have the C1 harness I would be willing to try the uconnect as well,,,,seem the nitro forum does not allow hot linking

UConnect

I thought the main issue here was that they don't provide the required mirror which has the UConnect controls and Mic.

What would be the problem with getting the mirror and wiring harness and hooking it up? Even if you gutted the mirror and stuck the mic and control button somewhere else I would think that would work.

The radios are not the same btw Dodge and Jeep, the connectors are different and so are the wire colors. The Mopar accessory page isn't right or it hasn't been updated yet. The JK has its own Uconnect integration kit recently released from DCX. When you get the DCX kit you still have to add the speaker pod, the 3 switch uconnect pod and the only part of the radio it interfaces is to mute the audio on incoming calls.

Heck yeah, would love this instead of integrating a moto kit with this I would love the specific kit,and yes you could easily integrate the kit into the factory speakers, let me get my hands on one and I can give you the info. SO.... where is the link or site where this is listed or available.

I'll get the info tomorrow. I had the liberty of installing one today, not as impresseed as I thought I would be. Its a generic Motorola Bluetooth Uconnect. Not an actual Mopar unit. This unit has its own speaker, similar to every other cell phone integration kit except it has bluetooth technology. Similar Pod with the 4 buttons on it, it doesn't use the buttons on the front of the radio, but none of the Mopar accessory intergration kits do either.
