All autos from 2012 and up come with an aux trans cooler now. Just confirming what MKWrangler said above.

The trans cooler in the 012+ are a seperat unit now. So you can not compare the new to the old. If any place would cause it to over heat it is here. with summer temps at 115+ all summer every day and many of those can be 120. I have been wheeling/ crawling, with the ac on in that heat and never seen the Jeep over heat or the trans.

Does your electric fan come on when you have A/C on? That in itself would be good for the trans cooler.
On my '08, the electric fan (when I had one) would come on with A/C, but it wouldn't be on all the time. (Maybe because it's not as hot here in Maine.)

Yes the fan seems to go anytime the ac is on. But the temp stays stable no matter how hot it gets or cold. Though out here cold is like 35^ and very few days of that.

^^^ I know what you mean. I had the same problem when I bought my 2012. Out of two dealerships and a total of five (5) sales people not one of them knew the answer, plus Iíll just add that there were a lot of other things about the Jeep that they had no clue of either.

You and I are neighbors so we went through the same thing when I was getting my 2013 JKUR. We walked out of the dealership the last time with my wife saying, "These people are idiots! I know more about the wranglers than they do!" It's part of the reason I bought mine from a dealership in Arizona.

Or just do what i did and buy the Jeep through your lender directly and you never have to speak with a dealership. Most of them now employ auto brokers who can get you just as good a price as you can haggling and listening to there inaccuracies.

I walked out of 2 dealers for the exact same reason, the sales dept was clueless. I even asked the service guys and even they didn't know, but at least they said they would find the answer for me.

I really donít understand why what seems like every damm Jeep dealership is more or less clueless when it comes to the sales of Jeeps, at least wranglers for sure.

Itís one of the best-selling vehicles they have yet no one (sales reps) wants to learn anything about them. Customers that arenít familiar with a Jeep and want one for the first time are at the mercy for the most part of the dealerships. Unbelievable.

Back on topic;

As I understood, the Trany cooler on the jk is part of the condenser. It is the bottom fins of the condenser.

I found this out when I was trying to add an aux cooler on mine. The '12 and up has a oem aux cooler available.

I have a 2012 JKUR and was wondering if I had a trans cooler. I checked my build sheet and it has an oil cooler (NHAP Engine Oil Cooler) listed but there isn't a trans oil cooler listed. Is it part of the Max Tow package or something? Where's it located and ill take a look? I'd appreciate any thoughts.

If you have an automatic transmission, you have a transmission cooler in front of the A/C condenser, which is in front of the engine's radiator.
The cooler is not related to a tow package.
