Red, you said you have no luck; your driving a jeep for goodness sake how bad can it be Its no biggie, it is an easy problem to fix just listen to the advice above...
Jeep actually recommends vehicles modified with larger tires and/or suspension lifts experiencing early ESP activations (depending on lift, suspension and tire size) to turn off ESP. Sorry pushing the silly little button won't do it; that will just turn it to "ESP partial off". In the owners manual its page 113-114 and there are 11 steps to permanently disable the feature until you get the issue resolved (repeat the 11 steps to re-engage). Remember, nothing related to the ESP feature will engage even in an EMERGENCY situation so just keep that in mind. Again, your problem is probably just a steering wheel alignment but if you feel the ESP is becoming dangerous just follow the 11 steps. If you need them i can PM them to you...before you do this maybe speak with your dealership or have one of the other guys "chime" in (no pun intended).
good luck with it and let us know how it goes.
JC

so..... getting a wheel alignment isnt the way to go? got a lot of opinions and not sure exactly what to do. i know i do not have adjustable track bars. and im pretty sure im not spinning my tires!! like i said im not going that fast when the esp flips out.
maybe ill just get the alignment and then go from there, thats what most of the opinions were so thats what i think ill do.
thanks for all the help, hopefully the help stays. my last club had a lot of smart asses and rude people who went off on you for not knowing and owning it.
thanks again

Make sure they center the steering wheel. That's probably your biggest problem.

Esp is very very sensitive. The steering wheel MUST be centered. It may take a few attempt to get right, tweaking it even though it looks centered is the answer your looking for. Could take several tries but it will get fixed if you keep at it. Back in 07 they didnt know what caused this and I just bypassed the esp all together because of this problem (my steering wheel looked centered). Sense then I have tweaked it a few time and now it never comes on with esp engaged.
Allignment is not the answer, dont waste your money on it. There are a few guides running around now that show how to do it (very easy). I will see if I can find a link unless someone posts one before me.

Listen to the posts above, STEERING WHEEL CENTERING. I had the exact same problem after my lift. Takes less than 10 minutes to realign the steering wheel.
Whatever you do, do not just take the wheel off the steering shaft and put it back on centered. This sounds dumb, but ask around, it happens.

It was very easy to adjust the drag link as explained the the above link. Took me 2 tries. 1st time I went a little to far and steering was off a little the other way. I backed it back off a little its perfect now. Just canceled my alignment appointment for tomorrow.

thanks everyone for the tips. i read the link and will be adjusting the steering myself tomorrow. but the weird thing is my esp has not my kickin on at all since i started this thread. i got a hold of a Chrysler mechanic and he said something about an automatic adjustment thats already on the jeep?? not sure if that makes sense to anyone but im going by the do-it-yourself link.

Your jeep will NOT automatically adjust for anything as some have heard from ignorant mechanics. Not the spedo for larger tires, not the steering wheel for lift, not anything.
