Touchscreen radio... my jeep is haunted

I've found a few other threads on this but never got an actual answer.

My 09 Rubicon has a stock touchscreen/nav radio but that thing has a mind of its own. It will randomly switch radio stations, change radio presets, activate my maps, etc. The screen also (quite often) is unresponsive when I try to press anything.

Any suggestions that could fix the problem or should I just suck it up and install an aftermarket radio?

Mine will do that every once in a while. I just stop and shut the Jeep off to recycle the power and it goes away. Is this all the time or just intermittently?

Ehh it has been a regular occurrence since I've owned it. It's not every single day and it seems to have good days and bad days. More often than not, it's acting this way though, of course especially when other people are riding in it. I've heard some people suggest taking it to the dealer and see if there's an update but they never really responded as to whether it worked or not.

I've got the same issue in my NON touchscreen (RES radio) 2015. I think it's actually the steering wheel controls. My 2009 NEVER did this. My Magnum and Charger had the steering wheel controls and did the same thing. But NEVER had that happen on NON steering wheel control vehicles...

Neo1130, I don't have steering wheel controls in my Jeep. It is still a regular problem as of now. I've stopped using the radio all together and just use my aux port and ipod now :/

I'm going to try what is listed above and see what happens.

(Also, so sorry for the late responses. For some reason I got 5 emails today listing the forum activity....idk why it waited so long to tell me. Perhaps all of my electronics are haunted haha)
