Looks good Jon. You have enough room between the carrier and the body for a Jerry can or a high lift? That would be a cool place to put one!
Its a Rancho bumper and there is a spot meant to mount a hi lift ont the bottom inside the tire carrier but I dunno bout a Jerry can... I would have to look and see.... I was thinking about mounting two ammo cans instead of the high lift but I dunno what I would put inside of them :shhh:
Small parts, extra fan belt, tools, hand cleaner, soap, rags, hose clamps, hose splice kit, extra flashlight, batteries, and on and on and…
:cheers2:
lol that would be cool. but then be no water proof anymore.. unless you used a gasket or something... lol put tow straps and crap in it. lol but that's a nice bumper.
Your Jeep just keeps getting better and better, man. I've got that same bumper and while I think the person who designed it needs to learn AutoCAD a little better (and rethink the Hi-Lift jack mount in concert with being able to open the gate), it's extremely solid. I ended up cutting a few inches off my jack and mounting it the opposite direction. It makes the license plate mostly visible, but allows you to open the gate fully. I'm still waiting for a cop to pull me over and give me **** about not being able to see the last letter of my plate clearly.
The day after I installed mine, a brand new 2010 Chrysler 300 decided to back into me. He annihilated a good portion of his trunk, tail light, and bumper, but there wasn't a scratch on the Jeep. In fact, none of the powder coating even came off.
Thanks for the comments guys and ideas on stuff to put in there! And that is awesome about the bumper! I do love it, but your right, it seems like a three year old designed it. lol
i've gota say it's very refreshing to see someone who owns a jk and has built it and used it the way it was ment to be. Your not worried about a little scratch or some mud stuck to the windshield and you don't call it a "car". For this i say thank you and keep up the good work your rig looks awsome.:highfive::cheers2:
anytime man i love being able to compliment on someones rig, im looking into buyin a jk in the future and alot of your mods are on the list of possibilities, your fenders (or lack of) have deffinitly impressed me. by the way thank you for your service and i love the proud infidel sticker:laugh:
Thanks!!! I Love it! But it does literally get mud in every nook and cranny when you run like that... Oddly enough, its easier to clean out the fender wells though.
the front amber lights came with the kit and came with amber bulbs, however the taillights didn't come with a red bulb adn after we put them on it was just clear like an extra reverse light so we had to buy some amber ones and that is pretty cool looking.
starnes, i am glad you got the better picts up though i do like the one from the front...
Did some GA wheeling while I was down... AKA, driving down washed out dirt roads:rofl:
Got stuck and took some pics while waiting for my buddy to come pull me out... Here is one... Also got some new fogs... The little square ones crapped out... You can see em in the pic.
Im registered in GA so maybe thats why they dont bother me with MD laws. And I used about 4 coats of bedliner on the grill and about 2 coats of clear... I would recommend not using bed liner but instead just using black paint because bugs stick to my grill something serious.
your jeep has got to be one of my favorite jks ive seen in a while,
and the fact that u have decals plastered all over it,
i love it haha
keep up the good work:thumbsup:
Wow... i think you're one of the first people that likes that I have decals all over it (on here anyway)... Most people are all "if they arent paying you to advertise their stuff then it should not be on there." I like the way it looks though, so I do it... Thanks for the compliments man!
