Tonka's first JKU (2014)

My wife and I moved from Waldorf, Md to Colonial Beach, VA because of my impending retirement out of the Air Force. I sold my 75 CJ5 to buy our garage at the house, but I still had my 04 Rubi TJ and my 2011 Tundra. Upon moving to Colonial Beach and having to drive 80 miles each way to work my Rubi wasn't getting driven plus I had two payments. 31st of December we traded both in on my first ever JKU sport. All I can say is love it!!! This will be my DD for quite some time.

I put some Quadratec side steps
entry guards
and today I ordered http://www.quadratec.com/products/12121_1010.htm

87 YJ
05 TJ
75 CJ5
04 TJ Rubi

The addiction continues!!!!! olllllo

Nice looking JKU enjoy the retirement from the USAF I retired from the USN 16 years ago and have never looked back. I promise you will not miss it after a few weeks.

Congrats on you new Jeep and upcoming retirement.

Curios though, what brand of LED fog lights did you go with?

Hopefully it will warm up enough to take care of my first mod. Rampage stubby bumper and new led fog lights. I hope my stock bumper is as easy as every other jeep bumper I have taken off in the past.

Congrats on the Jeep! I like the black

Bumper is so easy to take off. Really easy with an impact gun!

In with the new bumper and led fog lights. Whew. Now I have to figure out how mount the license plate. I won't have a winch for a while. Any ideas. I am lost. Love the new look

You really have to have your ducks ina row to enjoy your hobbies--especially financially-

Heh Heh, I thought you had to be a Navy Seal to move to Virgy Beach-

I've been retired 21 years from the Navy/fed/law-

Yeah I have been job searching and I landed one yesterday making pretty good money but 60+ hours a week and I start my first day of terminal leave 5 Mar. So I am going to keep looking for something with less hours but at least I know I will have something so the mods will be slow and steady for now. I have built four so far and I told the wife I bought this one and I wouldn't do much... Ya right. I Love it and will go slow and steady. Thank you and thank you for your service...

Just ordered some Rigid LED Dually flood lights for the new front bumper because the Led fog light replacement bulbs don't really do the trick. Lesson learned.
