OK so I am looking at the Flowmaster 40. Seem to be a popular one on the JK and Jeeps in general.

What size are you guys going with? Anyone regret buying it? Where is the best place to buy one?

It gets old at highway speeds in my 2.5L TJ. 3000+ RPMs constantly means it resonates pretty much all the time. There's some vids I think in my photobucket account by this screen name.

All you are going to get is a different pitch sound. No performance increase whatsoever. I regret "upgrading" my exhaust.

Keep the stock pipes and muffler and save your money for other things like Gas. A new muffler will do nothing for you other than relieving you wallet of your hard earned cash.

That's not true! There is a good chance a new muffler will annoy the **** out of everyone around, due to the increased noise it will probably make.

If I had paid for mine when I got it. I wouldn't have paid for it.

Not worth it I still frequently put the stock back on, from time to time.

Hey, I wasn't counting that as a POSITIVE feature.

I ripped the stock one off and stuffed a super 44 under it inline. Just made a cut of about 18" or so and clamped it in. Had the kid tack it in a couple spots so it wouldn't move around and added a heat shield so the rear passengers wouldn't melt their shoes. Cost me under 100 for the whole deal and has a nice little rumble, as much as the 3.8 will let it.
