There's a 2010 Rubicon Unlimited in my Garage

Haha, it wasn't a dream. I woke up Sunday (like a kid on the first day of summer) wanting to run to the garage and fire up my new 2010 Black Rubicon Unlimited that I drove home from the dealer a day earlier. It's my first Jeep and I've got to say that lurking here for 2+ weeks really influenced my decision to purchase.

First "aftermarket" thing I did was invest 19.95 to JeepForum as a way of saying thanks. I LOVE all the photos, mods, and discussion, and I can already tell this is going to be seriously habit forming.

I bought mine to be a daily driver (short commute) as well as something I could use to get to desert/mountain trailheads that required a 4x4 to access. I'll likely be sleeping in it on those trips as well.

I've started a running list of mods/projects...
Tuffy Conceal Carry Security Drawer (ordered)
Freedom Top T-bolts
Hardtop hoist and garage roof storage
Remove back seats/seatbelts (no kids)
Storage in place of back seats
Video Display (I got the REQ 6 Disc)
Ipod integration

Like many 1st time Jeep owners I have tons of questions, and fortunately I've gotten great answers so far. For now I just want to say thanks for all the posts, I'll do my best to take pics and share what mods are done along the way.

Welcome to the Club
It sounds like you're doing the research and going about the mods in the right order.

Welcome to the Forum and ownership family. There are days when I wish I had bought a Rubicon and a black one at that; solid choice.

I've been living in CA a few years now and will cruise down to Venice some day - I hear it's a unique place and have seen it plenty from movies and TV.

Enjoy!

The seats will lay pretty flat with the rest of the trunk. I would personally advise against just laying them flat rather than removing, even more so on a 4 door.

Removing the seats from what I can tell will not be flat.
