That's a little better!!

Swapped the stock tires for some slightly beefier 285/75/16s (still in stock wheels). Looks much better now IMHO. Just had to show off a bit.

before

after

Yeah - very noticable. It's much bouncier, louder, and steering is different. I can tell a big difference in how tall it sits. It is also a big more sluggish on takeoffs. I don't drive far most days (maybe 10 miles a day if that), so it's not a huge deal. I'm looking forward to taking it offroad to see if there's any difference in performace.

That's the way it SHOULD look instead of those pathetic tires that they put on them. I just don't get it...those oem tires look wayyyy undersized. Wake up DC...stop putting go cart tires on these Jeeps!!!!

I did the same with stock wheels to the same size you did. The first thought I had when it was done was "why didn't it just come like that, NOW it looks like a jeep!"

Congrats! Good move!

Thanks all. The guys at the tire shop really seemed to dig the sled.

Now I feel less like I'm driving a mini-van.

Yeah - just got two inches of rain and didn't want to stand in a puddle to take the pics. I'll try harder next time.

You dont have any rubbing issues or anything with these new tires right? Any problem in mounting them on the stock rims? Also.. what brand of tires are they, its hard to tell. I really like the look.

No rubbing on anything that we could see while mounting, and if it is rubbing, I can't hear it.

They're the Definity Dakota MT's from pep boys (just too good of a deal to pass up w/ the buy 3 get 1 free). They're made by Cooper. Hell, if they last the 40,000 mile warranty, they'll be worth it.
